ÜBERSEEINSEL - BREMEN

The project area is located on an old industrial part of the city between River Weser and Harbour of Bremen. The main focus of our design is based on alaredy given atmosphere on the site, taking into consideration industrial buildings, unused train tracks/railway tracks existing trees and the strong history of the location leads us to keep those elements and create spatial atmosphere by providing contrasts and atmospheres.

Concept of the project consists of the main linear green axes called as a forest, and other 4 connections through the site are creating main focus of our design. Linear green axes provides a strong atmosphere of being spiritualy part of the wildness. Keeping existing trees and unused train-tracks in this part of the project lead to create even stronger contrast with other parts of the area. Our idea is to create within 25 years fully-grown forest within the city. Planting new trees and transforming railway track into pathway from the beginning of the forest till very end of the site .
