The envisioned redesign of the Charlottenburg campus of the Technical University of Berlin (TUB) into a Citizen Science Lab represents a transformative initiative aligned with the urgent needs of our time. This innovative Lab serves as a dynamic hub, harmonizing the efforts of climate change activists and engaging citizens in a collaborative journey towards climate consciousness.
The central tenet of this project is the conversion of an existing building into an interim lab, fostering a synergistic relationship between climate activists and citizens. The lab operates as a nexus for cutting-edge research, education, and community involvement, with a primary focus on raising awareness about pressing climate issues.
The project places a strong emphasis on user-centered approaches, ensuring that both climate activists and citizens actively participate in shaping the lab's activities and initiatives. By incorporating user feedback and perspectives, the lab becomes a living, responsive entity that resonates with the needs and interests of its diverse stakeholders. This inclusive design philosophy not only empowers individuals but also contributes to the democratization of climate science.
